Program sub-grantee partners under the USAID Dialogue on HIV and TB Project are trained in programmatic approaches, program-specific monitoring and evaluation tools, and financial and contractual issues for implementing outreach activities among most- at-risk populations.
As many local NGOs have never received funding from the United States Government or multiple sources to fund similar interventions, finance trainings focus on understanding procedures and guidelines, reporting requirements, and fraud and corruption control practices.
Following data collection and initial analysis of each research study, data analysis workshops are conducted in each country for external partners and stakeholders. These workshops aim to engage partners and to build capacity in the data analysis and application process for evidenced-based decision-making. The workshops also have the synergistic effect of increasing the understanding of the project’s data collection methodology and behavior change framework. At the end of each country workshop, a document outlining country-specific programmatic strategy, messaging and implementation is produced and incorporated into the final report.
